Stacey Price – Bookkeeper Accountant Melbourne
Bookkeeper, Accountant, Business Consultant, Business Analyst, Business Advisor
These are just some of the names I have been called over the past 14 years working in the accounting and finance industry. Do I take any offence to them – NO. As most of them are true in some way !!
As my own business is relatively new, I have been asked lately to provide some insight into my history and what makes me tick.
About Me
I completed by bachelor of Business (Accounting) from RMIT University in Melbourne in 1999. I started work in a small chartered accounting firm in 1998 whilst still at university, moving to a bigger firm in 2000.
I left the chartered accounting environment in 2003 and went on an adventure to London. Partly to see the world, partly to work out what I wanted out of life!
My adventure lasted 4 years, and I returned to Melbourne at the start of 2007. I then completed my Chartered Accounting qualification and have worked in Finance ever since (a wedding, house extension and two stints of maternity leave thrown in the mix for good measure).
My Strengths
I believe my strengths are in reviewing and analsying monthly reports, setting up accounting package and training, BAS and GST review and reporting, spreadsheets, fixed asset reporting, budgets, cash flow – and everything in between.
My Weaknesses
My weaknesses – I hate to wear a suit and the corporate environment is just not me. I would much rather get my hands dirty and be involved with the small business owners to help their business grow.
More Than A Bookkeeper
I see myself as more than a bookkeeper – I am a value adding tool for your business. My aim is to now work around my beautiful family. My children are still quite young (my eldest is currently 3 years old and my baby is nearly 9 months old) and I want to watch them grow up.
So I started my own business – Healthy Business Finances – in the hope that we can achieve the family / work life balance everyone strives towards. My goal is to help other business owners, and by doing that they are really helping me achieve that balance.
